Come out and explore the turbulent history and exciting prospects of South Africa’s wine industry with Theresa Morrison, author of Cape Winelands, a touring guide to South Africa’s wineries.

After touching on 350 years of South Africa as influenced by its wine industry, Theresa will lead us through the rise and fall of apartheid, as well as the industry’s current rise and esteem in the wine world.Tasting wines will be poured during the presentation, and a Q&A session will follow.

Featured tasting wines for this event come from Seven Sisters and M’hudi, South Africa’s only black-family owned vineyards, as well as Stellar Organics and One World, both Fair Trade certified producers. A selection of cheeses and accompaniments will also be served.
